Unlike the earlier Lenovo laptops which had dual tone exterior with non-glossy and scratchy plastic, this one has an aluminium lid.

Design:
The Lenovo 320, as I said earlier, is nothing like the older Lenovo machines which were bulky and heavy. It has an aluminium body which feels pleasant to touch and is well built for the most part. It feels sturdy too. There’s minimal flex to the Lenovo 320 screen, and only a small part of the keyboard flexes under pressure, and even then you have to be looking for faults to notice it The Lenovo 320 is still as big and bulky as any other laptop in its category, but it seems sleeker from all angles. In reality, though, it is just 1mm thinner than the outgoing model, but the length and height of the machine are the same. I am not sure whether to call this machine evolutionary, but I would say that the computer looks premium at first sight. I also like the fact that you do get several colour options on the Lenovo 320, though budget buyers don’t necessarily look at colours.
Display:
The Lenovo 320 sports a stunning 15.6-inch resolution 1366 by 768 HD touchscreen for high-quality images and fine detail. It has an energy efficient LED backlit panel. The display is Anti-Glare and looks pretty good from various viewing angles.
The image quality is excellent because of the on-processor Intel HD Graphics 620 which produces sharp and detailed images. Overall, the display is one of the best available in this price range.
Connectivity:
The Lenovo 320 has what is fast becoming the crowd-pleasing standard of connectivity. There’s a USB-C port, the new style of connector, and two older full-size USB ports.
As you might guess given the price, these are not all top-spec connectors. One of the USBs is a 2.0 socket rather than 3.0, and the USB-C does not support the ultra-high bandwidth Thunderbolt 3 standard.
None of this matters too much in a laptop like the Lenovo 320, though.
The full-size HDMI and SD card slot are far more critical. For the average buyer, the Lenovo 320 has much more useful connectivity than a MacBook, even without genuinely high-end ports.
There’s no fingerprint scanner, an increasingly common feature in laptops. However, we don’t expect to see one in a machine this cheap.
Keyboard and Trackpad:
Lenovo continues to offer a satisfying keyboard experience on its mainstream line of laptops. The new layout on the Lenovo 320 is almost identical to the one we saw last year, but with one crucial difference — the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard are now smaller, making way for a full-size right shift key. Lenovo is still using an island-style keyboard with flat keycaps, and all the keys have similar and linear depression. The typing experience is smooth, and we did not find it fatiguing in any way. The actuation point is just excellent for typing, and each key makes a distinct click sound. The only feature someone buying a machine would be craving for would be keyboard backlighting, which isn’t present.
You get a large touchpad below the keyboard, with the left and right keys now integrated into the touchpad itself. Like last year, it supports all Windows gestures, but pointer speeds are a little slow out-of-the-box. The surface is smooth to touch but not as smooth as a glass touchpad. The left and right keys press down with a clicky sound and do not require a lot of force to use. Also, both keys only work if you are pressing only the bottom of the touchpad.
Hardware:
Lenovo has put some really high-end specs into the machine, and they perform exceptionally well as one would expect it to. With the 8th generation, Intel Core i5-8250U CPU coupled with 12 Gigs of DDR4 RAM, it can almost every day to day task you throw at it. The machine can be used as a daily driver by a student or an office employee. However, if you’re a developer or a hardcore gamer, this machine is just not for you. The lack of a dedicated Graphics card makes this machine fall behind its other competitors in the market. Also, it’s 2018 already, and I think that no laptop should be shipped without an SSD. Well, this one has 1 TB 5400 RPM HDD which makes it a bit ( not significantly) slow as compared to its other competitors. But again, for a price this low, it stands out among the other laptops available in the same price segment.
