Surely these technologies will come integrated in the 300 series of Intel that will arrive for desktop and portable systems later in 2017. This will allow an even greater integration in this type of systems, but will also be a blow to the makers of added chip with both technologies.
The news, for the users, are good since we will have even more compact laptops and technologies integrated into desktop systems that are uncommon now. It is expected that the supported Wifi will be of type AC, with double band, and the USB 3.1 will be type Gen2 with up to 10Gbps of bandwidth.
On the other hand, the standardization of both technologies will allow the development of more compatible devices and a price reduction of this kind of products.
