Jovees Anti Acne Pimple Cream – Review
I was attacked by a severe bout of acne few months back and then anything that read ANTI ACNE seemed as inviting as a date with John Abraham. I was just browsing around a store when the Jovees SA very happily comes and asks me if I would like to reduce my acne. Trust me, I could have punched her then and there. Almost dying of embarrassment, I went along with her and she showed me this. Very confidently she assured me that it will stop the acne. Convinced, I bought it. And, I am fairly satisfied.
The packaging was good, an outer carton and the container snugly set in.
What it claims – Jovees Anti Acne Pimple Cream is the result of an extensive research based on naturopathy to help control and cure acne. This effective formula contains neem, long pepper, red sandalwood along with precious herbal extracts which help clear acne and prevent future breakout. This cream will help you achieve a clear complexion.
Method Of Use – Clean face preferably with Jovees Cleansing cream and pat dry with soft towel. Apply Jovees Anti Acne Pimple Cream with fingertips and leave on. Use daily at bed time.
Active Ingredients – Neem Oil, Long Pepper, Tea Tree, Red Sandalwood, Clove oil and Bearberry
Price – Rs.185 for 50 grams
It is a pearl finish cream and looks and smells more like a fairness cream.
It has been mentioned to use the cream at bed time but I have my own way of using it. What I do is, I use very little on the affected area over my regular day cream and do the same at night. I have to say that this cream is thick and feels heavy on your skin, although it gets absorbed still you can figure out that something has been applied there. A very very slight tingling sensation might be felt. Sometimes I feel it and sometimes I don’t. The cream does live up to its claims and it helps in controlling acne. I couldn’t see any difference in the acne I already had but it treated the upcoming ones. The upcoming ones didn’t grow further but it took time before they totally disappeared, say like 4-5 days. The cream will last long because very little is needed to cover the entire cheeks. I do have an issue with the smell of this cream. It nowhere smells anti acne, as in the regular herbal-y smell. This one has a plastic-y smell to it, something like a fairness cream. Otherwise I quite like this. It did control my acne.

Pros of Jovees Anti Acne Pimple Cream
- Lives up to its claims, controls acne.
- Decently priced, the small tub will last long.
- Has almost all ingredients effective in acne control.
Cons of Jovees Anti Acne Pimple Cream
- Comes in a tub. Very nonuser friendly, specially when it is something for treating acne.
- The smell, very fake and plastic. Nowhere close to what anything herbal should smell like.
- Doesn’t cure existing acne. It doesn’t cure the present damage it rather prevents further damage.
- Feels very heavy on skin.
Although the cons is more the pro list but still I would like you all to give it a shot because it controls acne and that is all that matters. I will not ask you to expect anything miraculous from this cream but think of it as any other anti acne product that proves effective with religious use. Also, I have not mentioned about the con of listing only key ingredients because that is what companies seem to be sticking to and we really don’t have any other option.
Will I Repurchase? – This tub will last long and if at all I have to pick up anything anti acne it will from Fabindia because I have heard great things about it.

today is my very first day that I’m using Jovees anti-acne cream. & I agree with many things you’ve mentioned. I also hate the smell & the cream feel bit oily as well.. right now it’s been 3 hours since I’ve applied it on my face & I feel little bit warm in my face. I’ve used few Jovees products & they’ve given good results. let’s see what this will do it my face xD
one question I’ve to ask ^_^ well my skin type is Oily combination & I’ve very few but so bad looking pimples on my cheeks. & many pores & blemishes too. could you please name me some good products that I can use to reduce the pimples/ tighten the pores & make the blemishes looks less visible? thanks 🙂
